Biofuels (BBN) in the 2020-2024 RPJMN
In the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), biofuels (BBN) are included as the final stage of achievement. There are seven priority development agenda targets in the 2020-2024 RPJMN, with biofuel development itself included in the agenda of Strengthening Economic Resilience for Quality and Equitable Growth.
Biofuel development is one of the low-carbon development strategies. Biofuel development itself is achieved through the production of biodiesel and green fuel. Palm-based biofuel production capacity is met through the empowerment of smallholder oil palm plantations.
In the 2020-2024 RPJMN target, the renewable energy mix will reach 23% by 2024, domestic biofuel utilization will reach 17.4 kiloliters by 2024, and the development of palm oil-based green fuel renewable energy will be a strategic priority project ( major project ).
