Forest and Land Fires 2019 : Case Study of Riau Province Period January-March
Forest and land fires are a serious problem facing the people of Riau Province almost every year in the dry season. Provides a direct and indirect impact on the community, economy, ecology, especially health.
Most of the area in Riau Province of peatland which is actually a wetland that is difficult to burn. But different in fact, the fires that occur almost every year occur on peatlands.
This is a shared responsibility in addressing the threat of forest and land fires that always occur almost every year. Thus, monitoring of peatland ecosystems is necessary to be carried out as a consideration for policies made by stakeholders. The preparation of this report is part of the series of implementation of this study.
This report is prepared taking into account the purpose, scope and output of this study so that the end of this study results in the output as expected. Thank you to all those who will support the implementation of this study. Hopefully the report of the Forest and Land Fire (Karhutla) study in Riau Period January 1 – March 31, 2019 can be useful for various parties in answering the problem of forest and land fires that occur so that it can be achieved as expected.
