What Is the Issue of the KLHK Appointed for the COP Later?
This year's United Nations Climate Change Conference or better known as COP (Conference of the parties) will soon be held precisely in early December 2019.

The COP itself has been held in Paris from November 30 to December 12, 2015. This conference is the 21st annual conference of UNFCCC members since the UNFCCC was established in 1992, and the 11th conference since the 1997 Kyoto Protocol Conference. From this conference, was born the Paris Agreement (Paris Agreement) which was adopted by acclamation by member states.
This agreement will be legally binding if at least 55 countries representing 55 percent of annual global greenhouse gas emissions ratify the Paris Agreement or register in New York from April 22, 2016 to April 21, 2017.
Related to the preparation of the COP25 to be held this year, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) will raise some interesting issues. Based on the monitoring of Luluk’s Update, KLHK will raise the issue of climate change and waste, circular economy and mitigation of deforestation and degradation of forests and peat.
Not only related to the COP25, this week, the media also highlighted the EU (EU) plan to halt funding fossil fuel projects in 2022 as an effort to combat climate change.
The EU has stopped financing fossil fuels and will launch the most ambitious climate investment strategy from public financial institutions. The European Investment Bank (EIB) will pour $1.1 trillion on environmentally friendly investments. This decision was made after the request of the President of the European Commission who requested the EIB turn into a climate bank.
